LEGACY UNDER FIRE
Book #6 of the
Halo Legacy Series
The doctors had signed Shiloh's release papers, so now she sat waiting for a wheelchair to take her out to Jeremiah's vehicle. Then they would fly to Boston for Dr. Bruce to perform surgery on her hands.
"Are you ready to go?" The nurse named Eula who had worked at Shiloh's clinic before the fire bustled into the room with a wheelchair.
Anxiety and excitement stirred in Shiloh's belly. A new chapter in her life was unfolding. This time without her usual fearlessness. And without her memory. "I guess I have to be."
"I have a hypo to relax you." Eula grasped Shiloh's arm and swabbed the inside bend of her elbow.
"No thanks, I'll be fine."
"I've already marked it on your chart."
Shiloh frowned and tugged on her arm. "There was no injection noted when the doctor signed the release papers."
"Must have been an oversight." Eula held onto Shiloh's arm, positioning the needle.
