THE NEWSPAPER OF THE FICTIONAL TOWN OF HALO
Politics or police work? Over the last few months, incumbent sheriff Reid Weston has stumbled in protecting the citizens of this county. From bungling the investigation of a ring selling prescription drugs, to the explosive destruction of an entire town, to questionable dealings with several well-respected women, Weston has shown selfish disregard for anything but his own political advancement.
It is therefore the opinion of the editorial staff of this paper to support Collin O'Shea for sheriff of this county. O'Shea played a major role in coordinating rescue operations when the town of Halo was destroyed by a madman's revenge. His interest and concern for local citizens has been evidenced by his personal involvement in community events, including playing a major role in developing a center that will bring families together in a safe, positive environment. O'Shea's stellar law enforcement history with the State Police will ensure cooperation with agencies beyond our region and will bring rapid response of emergency resources should the need arise.
