HALO HERALD, First Edition

HALO EXPLODES!

The biggest news in this country since gold was discovered in the 1800s! Most of the downtown businesses and nearby homes have been destroyed by a beast-man intent on revenge.

Renegade cop and former military survivalist Aaron Swaggerty planted dynamite under the buildings in downtown Halo and set off the charges. Any buildings left standing were quickly consumed by the fires that ignited when natural gas pipelines ruptured and electrical wires tumbled like trees in a forest.

While emergency crews battled the blazes and looked for additional explosives, Swaggerty chased the targets of his revenge, a  baby stolen at birth and his mother. Caseworker Marly O'Shea lured him away on a daring motorcycle chase.

Unfortunately, Swaggerty disappeared when local law enforcement appeared on the scene.

Some positive news to come out of this event: the oldest of the O'Shea siblings, Collin, proposed to local cafe owner, Beth Boulanger. More details coming later on the whirlwind courtship of this couple.

A newspaper produced in the fictional town of Halo, Oregon.
